Indiana Earthquake ‘Extremely Rare and Unprecedented’ (Video)

Earthquake Location Rare for Indiana

Midwestern Earthquakes Stir New Madrid Quake History

On December 30, 2010, a rare and unprecedented  3.8 magnitude earthquake struck in an Indiana location without a known seismic history.  The earthquake caught scientist by surprise and left them examining the data as speculation about the cause continues.  The Christian Science Monitor reports on yesterday’s event found here.  Midwestern earthquakes often trigger writers to remind the public of historic seismic events.  In this incident Christian Science Monitor delves into historic New Madrid earthquakes of 1811-1812 that caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards.  Some scientists think that the next major destructive earthquake will occur along the New Madrid seismic zone which runs through the middle of the country.   The USGS website contains information about the 1811 – 1812 New Madrid Earthquakes in its summary of historic earthquakes here.

Jon Stewart Slams Republican Senators on 9/11 Responder Bill Vote

Video Reminder of 9/11 Hypocrisy Like No One Else Can Say It

This is among the best of the best of Jon Stewart.  It is curious how some cannot see through what the Republicans do repeatedly on this issue.

$9 Trillion Missing From The Fed

That’s A Pile of Money

Youtube Video of Rep. Alan Grayson Question Inspector General

The video from Youtube is date December 11, 1010 but some of the comments indcate this is old information.  If this is true, it is truly a world emergency.  I don’t recall this.  I don’t recall there being an uproar about “off balance sheet” losses that are unaccounted for in the grand scheme of things.  Rather than 20,000 views this thing should be hitting the millions in viral overload.

Another thing I noticed is that this lady in responding is very evasive and seems nervous.  It seems there should be a lot more inquiry about this and I would like to know where all this stands.

Boehner Slams The King of Compromise Obama

John Boehner ’60 Minutes’ Don’t Believe In Compromise

The headlines in the Huffington Post this morning serves notice that the next Speaker of the House does not believe in compromise.  Well he should do great in his dealings with Mr. Compromise Himself.  President Obama just last week informed us all of his position which is always compromise.  The problem is if one side of a negotiation doesn’t compromise and the other always compromises guess who comes out the winner.  This is no way to mediate through the nation’s business Mr. President.

The country may have been founded upon compromise but it was founded on compromise resulting from intense argument and intense debate.  Check out the Federalist Papers for that one.  No this country used to have diverse commitments to principles that mattered and the folks with those principles fought hard for them.  They stood up when it counted on the major issues.  You Mr. President have not demonstrated the will to fight for major issues that you told us that you believed in and your message appeared genuine.

It is just not genuine to forsake your stated position on the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and the extremely elite of this country.  Now John Boehner comes out strong with a no compromise pledge.

Even if he is lying, it is a dramatic slap in your face given your pledge to compromise away the Democratic position at every turn.  This will be a long and painful two more years.

Dreams As Communications of Nature – Part 1

I want to share two dreams with you. These dreams have to do with the April 2010, Gulf of Mexico disaster. For me the dreams carried a message from nature. Whether there is a broader message for anyone else, I do not know for certain. During the past eight months, these two dreams are responsible for focusing my attention on a study of the seismic activity in the Gulf of Mexico and on the psychology of Carl Jung. Continue reading

James Moore: WikiLeaks and the Myth of Journalistic Objectivity

No Free Press No Real Information to People

James Moore hits the nail on the head explaining the stir over Wikileaks.  The lack of a real free press means we have not been given any true investigative truth facts exposing important issues.  Here is a pointed quote from the article.  Check it out at the link below.

“The consistent claims that lives are being endangered by the information borders on the hilarious. How many lives have been lost to erroneous, yet secret information that led to our invasion of Iraq?”
